He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Carl Porter and Donnie Brown Porter; his children, Stacy Chandler, Don Porter (Lori) and Carlos Porter (Jamie); his grandchildren, Candace McGaugh, Amber Jelen, Katelyn Wood, Carl Porter and Nick Porter; and his siblings, Elaine Cockrell (James), Michael Tripp (Carolyn) and Ben Tripp (Diane). He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
