She was predeceased by: her father James M. Davis. She is survived by: her mother Minnie Merle Davis of Jackson, MS; her husband Dr. Alphonse Reed; her children, Rashad Reed of Albany, GA and Jamie Reed of Natchez; her daughter-in-law Naja Reed of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Jacob and J'Ana of Tallahassee; her brothers, Julian Davis (Rose) of Temple, GA, Cedric Davis of Jackson, Dexter Davis of Jackson and Elliott Davis (Lynn) of Stockbridge, GA; and her siblings-in-law, Valerie Davis of Jackson, Monroe Clark (Bobbie) of New Orleans, Willie Mae Little (Val) of Aurora, CO, Linda Reed of Woodbridge, VA and Lorraine Williams (Floyd) of New Orleans. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Demetria received the American Cancer Society Terese Laser Award for her volunteer work and was named the Bluff City Post Person of the Decade.
