He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucius McCutchen Sr. and Russe Blanks Butts; his grandparents, Edward Scott, Lucy McCutchen Butts, Handsel Burrow and Ethel Roper Blanks (Hilda Arny Butts); and his wife Jaqueline McCarthy Butts.
He is survived by: his sons, Lucius McCutchen Butts III (Penny) and Russell Blanks Butts (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Amanda Butts Carroll (Trey), Elizabeth Butts Singletary (Brian), Helen Butts Field (Madison), Russell Blanks Butts, Jr. (Hannah), Hayden Scott Butts and Molly Butts Adams (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Douglas Brian and Ann McCutchen Singletary.
