He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Brown-Smith; his children, Derrick Brown, Sr., Walter Smith, Jr., Kimberly Smith and Courtney Smith; his grandchildren, Eugenia Brown and Derrick Brown, Jr.; and his close friend Wanda Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
