He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Wimbley and Virginia Stokes Wimbley; his wife Hannah V. Wimbley; his brothers, George, Charles, Phillip, Henry and David; his sisters-in-law, Mary and Emma Wimbley; his son-in-law Ventress McCallum; and his nephews, Phillip James and Jessie Gary Wimbley.
He is survived by: his children, Willie Wimbley, Jr. (Linda), Dale Wimbley (Maxine), Charles J. Wimbley (Emma Jean), Ruby Wimbley, Donna McCallum, Geraldine Williams (Dan, Jr.), Joan Wimbley and Amelia White (Greg Johnson). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
