He was predeceased by : his parents, William Ruffin and Lucille Ruffin; and his siblings, Billy, Louie, Tuney and Ann.

He is survived by : his siblings, Sara and Danny; his children, Terri Nyman (Mike), Jim Ruffin (Angie) and Jeff Ruffin; his grandchildren, Jason Tomlin, Jessica Welford (Randy), Anna Ruffin, Abby Ruffin, Sunni Ruffin and Buddy Ruffin; and his great grandchildren, Hadley Welford, Jesse Tomlin, Harper Welford and Henley Welford.
