With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wesley Ellis Branch of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Branch and Rudolph Branch; and his sister Reba Branch. He is survived by: his daughters, Christiana Schmidt and Brennan Burkard (Bill); his grandchildren, Connor Christian Schmidt of Brandon, Mississippi, Will Burkard of Brandon, Mississippi and Alexandra Burkard of Brandon, Mississippi; his brother Dr. R. E. Branch of Dallas, Texas; his nephews, John Branch (Chrissie) of Austin and Robert Branch of Minneapolis, Minnesota; the mother of his children Brenda Branch of Brandon, Mississippi; and also Maria Mavar of Ocean Springs, Mississippi..
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home - Ocean Springs (911 Porter Ave, Ocean Springs, MS 39564). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Southern Memorial Park (2076 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531-5123).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, St. John's Episcopal Church, or a charity of your choice.
