He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Allen Pierson, Sr. and Cecil Ann Pierson; and his sister Joyce Lawler. He is survived by: his wife Connie Pierson; his children, Corye Gatlin (Joey), Katie Pass, Joe Pierson III (Nicole) and Rachel Watson (Chance); his grandchildren, Haley, Breanna, Dalton, Kamryn, Katelynn, Kyndall, Keeley, David, Jacob, Cristian, Ethan, Olivia, Braylee and Oaklee; his great-nephew Jace; his great-niece Jyma; and his great grandchildren, Lillie Kate and Janie Mae.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Family Funeral Care (4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Memphis Memory Gardens (6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134).
