She is survived by: her children, Karen Theresa Peairs of Oxford, MS, Regina Peairs Winbush (Ryan) of Olive Branch, MS, Rhondalyn Kaye Peairs of Oxford, MS and Earnest Sylvester Peairs, II of Memphis, TN; her grandchildren, Joshua Milagro Peairs of Memphis, TN and Ke'Onbre Bessie of Baton Rouge, LA; her siblings, James McCorkle of New Orleans, LA, William McCorkle of New Orleans, LA, John L. McCorkle of New Orleans, LA, Willard McCorkle of Columbia, MS, Willie McCorkle (Carolyn), Roy McCorkle (Sheila) of Marrero, LA and Hazel Coleman (James) of Columbia, MS; and her sister-in-law Genoris McCorkle (Jesse) of Columbia, MS.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family, former students and friends.
