She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Pegues and Annie Liza Pegues; her child Selena Tallie Watts; her granddaughter Jennifer Tallie; her siblings, J. C., A. P., Carlenna, Lurrenner and Allie Mae; and her spouse Pastor Johnny C. Buford.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Wayne Tallie (Mary) of Oxford, MS, James Melvin Tallie (Michelle) of Saltillo, MS, Micheal Tallie (Jackie) of Denton, TX, Alvin Watts, Christine Blakley of Oxford and Toni Lynch (David) of Abbeville, MS.; and her sibling's children, Angilee Pettis and Freddie Pegues (Ruth). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
