He was predeceased by: his mother Cleo Mitchell Baker; his son Irven Joseph Baker, Jr.; his father James Fisher Baker, Sr.; his siblings, Margie Dedeaux Rencher, Doris Baker Garrett, Inez Baker Arnold, Cotis Baker Mays and James Fisher Baker, Jr.; and his goddaughters, Margaret Swanier Walker and Chantall Bradley.
He is survived by: his daughter Ervinette M. Baker Brown; and his granddaughter Erin Michelle Brown.
