He was predeceased by: his parents, Tallie Parten and Mattie Smith Parten; and his brother Joe Parten. He is survived by: his wife Martha Parten; his children, Clay Parten (Paula), Lori Parten (Byron) and Larry Parten (Abby); his grandchildren, Olivia Cline (Brandon), Rachel Owen, Caleb, Lillie and Bryce Parten; and his siblings, Billy Parten and Louise Sheffield (W. D.).
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and Mississippi State Board of Funeral Service guidelines a private family service will be held.
