He was predeceased by: his parents, Wolford Hayden and Margaret Hayden; and his siblings, Gerald L. Hayden, Wolford Hayden, Christian "Chris" Hayden, Jimmy Hayden, Carroll Hayden, Lindberg Hayden, John Hayden Sr. and Elizabeth Hayden.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dubuisson Hayden; his children, Darrell L. Hayden (Michelle), Sharon D. Ladner (Milton) and Lisa A. Vermilyea (Sam); his grandchildren, Anthony C. Kallas III (Brandi), Gwendolynn N. Cox (Aaron), Joshua L. Ladner (Meghan), Meredith L. Hayden (Shawn), Nicole R. Ladner, Tabitha A. Kallas (Robert) and Bryce C. Hayden; and his great grandchildren, Colton Cox, Rayson Cox, Morgan Cox, Adalynn Cox, Kayden Kallas, Dryston Ladner, Jaydon Ladner, Addysyn Bickel and Audrey Bickel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian.The family will hold private services.
