He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Steve Sims and Lena Sims; his wife Julia Herrin Sims; his children, Lanell CoAnn Sims Ressler (Rick) of Olive Branch, MS and Todd Herrin Sims (Kate) of Collierville, TN; his grandchildren, Katie Ressler Montgomery (Daniel) of Olive Branch, MS, Jacob Coburn Ressler of Olive Branch, MS, Jillian Grace Ressler of Olive Branch, MS and Zachary Rawlins Sims of Collierville, TN; his great grandchildren, Laura Katherine Montgomery and Isaac Daniel Montgomery; and his siblings, Toby Sims, Steve Sims of Louin, MS, Bobbie Johnson, Laurel, Glenda Ann Jones and Richmond. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
