He is survived by: his wife Billie Sue Carr Fortenberry; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Randy Salter; his grandchildren, Will Salter (Madison), Addie Salter and Wyatt Salter; his nephew Greg Fortenberry; his nieces, Pam McKeithen and Pat DeLaughter; his friends, Bud and Jo Tingle; and his pet Oreo.

Memorials may be made to Grandview Baptist Church in Pearl.
