He was predeceased by: his father O. C. Rushing. He is survived by: his daughter Amber Maxwell (William); his grandchildren, Alyssa Maxwell, Frances Maxwell and William G. Maxwell; his mother Macie L. Conn Rushing; and his sister Betty Nicholson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
