She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Hermann Sylvest and Stella Davis Sylvest; her former husband James Harlan Mitchell; her husband Thomas Carlisle; her siblings, Marvin Sylvest, Cecil Ray Sylvest, James Howell Sylvest and Jeanette Davis; her stepdaughter JoAnn Hatch; and her daughter-in-law Dean Carlisle (Patsy).
She is survived by: her pet Taffy; her children, Debbie Pollitz (George, IV), Donna Watts (Edmond) and Randy Mitchell (Debbie); her stepchildren, Donna G. Lutenbacher (Keith) and Charles "Chuck" Carlisle; her stepson-in-law Gary Hatch; her brother Garland Sylvest (Diane); and her grandchildren, Trey Duckett (Amanda), Jamie Duckett (Heather), Allen Pollitz, Jessica Kent (Jon), Monica Blowes (Sam), Justin Lutenbacher, Whitney Lutenbacher, Scott Hatch, Kelly Hatch, Maranda Simmons, Sabrina Carlisle and Charles David Carlisle. She is also survived by great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Old Palestine Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (3241 Jackson Landing Rd, Picayune, MS 39466).
