She was predeceased by : her husband Leroy Hamilton; her parents, Wirt Golsen Suggs and Lillian Mae Moore Suggs; her son Stephen Matthew Hamilton; and her siblings, Bud Suggs, Dick Suggs, Jack Suggs, John Allen Suggs, Pat Suggs, Sam Suggs, Thomas Suggs, Tina Mae Lee and Virginia Ann Suggs.

She is survived by : her children, Phil Hamilton (Barbara) of Pittsboro, Anna Collums (David) of Pittsboro and Sheryl Collins (Rickey) of Eupora; her grandsons, Ben Hailey (Beth) and Brad Allen (Mary Beth); her stepgrandchildren, Dawn Young, Dewayne Collums, Miranda Morris and Tera Embry; and her great grandchildren, Anna Bell Allen, Cash Allen, Hannah Hailey and Nathan Hailey.
