We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, at the age of 77, Bessie Geraldine Griffin Taylor of Pontotoc, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Bessie Geraldine Griffin's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Bessie Geraldine Griffin has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Griffin; her parents, Loyd Taylor and Bessie Taylor; and her sister Margaret Moore. She is survived by: her son Gary Thomas Taylor; her brother Alvin Griffin (Linda); and her granddaughters, Cassandra Walker, Samantha Crump (Ray), Beth Dillard (Lynn) and Sarah Taylor (Justin). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and an abundance of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tutor Memorial Funeral Home (270 Coffee St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
