Carolyn Lackey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Lackey of Pontotoc, Mississippi, born in Tupelo, Mississippi, who passed away on August 29, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Witt and Erin Witt; her son Richared Herbert "Ricky" Lackey; and her brothers, Heard Witt, Pallbearers, Channing Lackey, Cruze Lackey of Van Peters, J. P, Young, Marcus Graham and Devin Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Sanford "San" Lackey (Julie), Carey Lackey (Melissa) and Pam Lackey; her granddaughters, Bridgette Letson (Cody), Haley Lackey and Tonya Hall (Chris); her great grandchildren, Kailyn Lackey, Channing Lackey, Cruze Lackey, Devin Stewart, Marcus Graham, Kristin Hall, Austin Hall, Haden Hall, Arron Hall and Jaden Hall; and her cousin Ann Heard Downing.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Sunshine Nursing Center in Pontotoc, who were so kind and wonderful to "Miss" Carolyn in her last years. Memorials may be made to Belden Baptist Church Nursery, 4121 McCullough Blvd, Belden, MS 38826.
