He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Franks and Frances Franks; his brother Bruce Franks; and his nephews, Will "Joey" Sloan and Liam Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy "C. J."; his children, Jessica Hill (Chad), Michael David Wendler (Dottie) and Mitchell Ray Wendler; his grandchildren, Emma, Audrey, Olivia, Evelyn Franks, Marley Hill, Mikayla, Carley, Sophie Wendler and Malachi Wendler; his parents-in-law, Joyce and Ray Butler; his siblings, Donna Cox (Billy Joe), Patti Shempert (Dan) and Mitchell Franks; and his sister-in-law Linda Franks.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideons.
