It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Payne of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on October 22, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jimmy, Marion, Dora Flemmings, Mary Ellen Flemmings, Sara White and Peggy Berryhill.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Elizabeth McCall Payne; his children, Debbie Robbins (Mike), Darrell Payne of Pontotoc and Bruce Payne (Denise) of Pontotoc; and his sisters, Minnie Neal Plunket of Pontotoc and Virgie Haley (Frank) of Pontotoc. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
