She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Herndon and Opalene Garrett; her brother Bobby Rex Herndon; her nephew D. J. Cates; her brother-in-law Lynn Owen; and her stepparents, Felix Garrett (Tom) and Corrine Herndon.
She is survived by: her sisters, Barbara Cates (Julian) of Pontotoc and Donna Butler (Terry) of Pontotoc; her nieces and nephews, Carrie Ann Cates Stegall, Carmen Owen, Brad Cates, Chad Herndon (Noel) and Eric Herndon (Anna Claire); and her pet Baby Girl. She is also survived by three great nieces; six great nephews.
