He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lavurt Wardlaw and Louise Wardlaw; his wife Phyllis Crane Wardlaw; and his children, Bill Wardlaw, Mark Wardlaw, Karen Wardlaw Kemp and Brad Wardlaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Research Hospital or the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
