With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winston Akers of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on August 9, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Akers and Gynell Akers; his grandparent Monard; and his sister Barbara Akers McDonald. He is survived by: his children, Angie Akers, Ashley Dowdy (Josh), Darlene Montgomery (Lynn) and Grant Akers (Donna); his grandchildren, Brandon Akers, Lyge Dowdy, Ada Grace Dowdy, Nicholas Montgomery, Dylan Akers, Evan Akers, Georgia Akers and Rhett Akers; his siblings, Rodney Akers (Natalie) and Tammy Hatcher (Ronnie); his brother-in-law Okee McDonald; and his grandchildren, Patterson, Melvia and Lillian Akers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
