He was predeceased by: his parents, William Delbert and Selice Obiline Valentine; his wife Bobbie Green Valentine; and his siblings, William Deavous Valentine (Luna Rae), Dan Dwight Valentine and Willa Frances Moore (David).

He is survived by: his son Terry Valentine (Susan); and his grandson Louis Parker.
