He was predeceased by: his father Emmitt Yawn; his sister Nora Stuart; and his grandparents, Eunice Yawn, Jude Yawn, Christopher Madden and Virgie Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Jacki Yawn, Lacey Yawn and Julious Yawn; his grandchildren, Ronnie Yawn and Vallon Hancock; his mother Bonnie J. Yawn; and his sister Connie Hutson (Carl).
