He is survived by: his wife Connie Yates; his sister Sue Austin of Pleasant Garden; his siblings-in-law, Carl Terry of Osceola and Doris Yates; and his sibling's children, Carla Williams, Lauren Palmer (Bill), Sandy Moffat, Kaityn Williams, Rease Williams, Kathy Porter, Brittney Hicks (Jeff), Barbie Cooksey, Penny Tubbs, Jimmy Austin (Amy) and Ricky Austin (Annie).
