He was predeceased by: his wife Lanell Thompson; his children, Lamar Fountain and Renee Thompson; his grandson Timothy Ryan Thompson; and his great grandchild Rosalia Greene.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Fountain of Richton, Marvin Fountain (Denise) of Richton, Jerry Thompson Jr. (Karen) of Laurel, Michael Fountain Jr. (Kerry) of Silas, AL, Doris Holder (Rickie) of Leakesville and Shonda Thomspon of Richton; his daughter-in-law Amy Fountain of Richton; and his sisters, Johnnie Glendora Edwards, Gladys Strahan, Jessie Mae Rounsaville and Janie Strickland. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
