He is survived by: his wife Sharon Steel; his children, Charlton Wynne Steel and Anna Claire Steel of Jackson; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Steel of Wesson, MS, David Steel (Elizabeth) of Ocala, FL and Elizabeth "Betty" McCombs (Stan) of Pearl, MS; and his granddaughters, Madison Soboul of Miami, FL and Sophia Steel of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
