He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymon Tillman Sandlin and Allie Irene Higgs Sandlin; his former life partner Betty Sandlin; his nephew Noel McKnight; and his niece Denise Pledger.

He is survived by : his wife Vicki Sandlin; his son Matthew Sandlin; and his sisters, Joyce Gardner of Yuma, AZ, Norma McKnight of Oil Trough, AR, Regina Pledger of Mary Esther, FL and Linda Jones of Roland, OK.
