It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Lucille Donald of Sandersville, Mississippi, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband James Donald, Sr.; her father James Hartley; her granddaughter Tiffany Barnett; and her siblings, Frankie Hartley, Eugene Hartley and Mary Maxcey.

She is survived by : her children, James Barnett, Sr. (Maria), Charles Barnett (Emily), Claude Caves (Susan) and Donna Heath (Jonathan); her stepchildren, James Donald and Elizabeth Barnett; her mother Evelyn Hodge Hartley; and her grandchildren, John Heath, Daniel Heath, Dillon Heath, James Barnett, Jr., Christopher Polk, Bradon Barnett, Rosalynn Barnett, Tiffany Danielle Barnett, Daniel Caves, Christopher Caves, Cody Donald and Kayla Donald.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS 39441). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
