He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murray Watters and Margaret Hammond Watters; and his siblings, George M. Watters, II and Mary Helen Watters. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gallagher Watters; his children, Daniel James Watters, Jr. (Tracy Diane Watters) and Dana Christine Mason (James Richard Mason); his sisters, Patricia Imburgia and Kathleen "Kay" Horsell (Arthur Horsell); his grandchildren, Caitlin Diane Watters, Brendan Riley Watters, Brandi Lee Dayner, Amber Nicole Gastineau and Carrie Louise Jenkins; and his brother-in-law Rory Patrick Gallagher. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
