He was predeceased by: his parents, James Spiers and Nellie Howard; his stepfather Scottie Howard; and his siblings, Gloria Hebert, Stacy Hill and James "Pete" Spiers, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffery Aycock (Lacy) and Joey Jones (Heather); his siblings, Maurice Spiers (Daisley), Wendy Cox, Rhonda Moore, Raymond Howard, Nancy Parker (Mark), Scottie Howard, Jr., Shane Spiers, Michelle Thrash, Kelly Hartfield, Christine Jansen and Bobby Spiers; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Kaytin, Katelyn, Farrah, Anna Kate, Addison and Brantley. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
