He was predeceased by: his parents, Alric Joseph Knebel Sr. and Irene Thibodeaux Knebel; his wife Jane Knebel; his brothers, Ronny A. Knebel and Randy Knebel; and his niece Roxanne Knebel.

He is survived by: his siblings, Teri Knebel Boudreaux, Alric Knebel Jr., Michael Knebel, Pamela Gill and Judy Knebel Lampkin.
