She was predeceased by: her husband Harrell C. Smith; and her daughter Joy Angela Smith. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Smith Ridge of Kenton, TN and James H. "Butch" Smith (Debbie) of Senatobia, MS; her siblings, Myrna Strickland Smith of Wyatte, MS and Archie Strickland, Jr. of Olive Branch, MS; her grandchildren, Angela Hughes, Tina Swindle and Aaron Ridge; and her great grandchildren, Alexis Hughes and Ariel Hughes.
