She is survived by : her former life partner Larry G. Hanshaw; her children, Nneka T. Breaux and Okera S. Hanshaw; her siblings, Robert W. James, John A. James (Sharon) of Detroit, MI, Sandra C. James of Atlanta, GA and Louis E. James (Pamela) of Chicago, IL.; and her grandchildren, Nia Breaux, Ibrahim Breaux, Ayo Breaux, Ana Villavasso, Sara Villavasso, Rachel Villavasso and Imani Hanshaw. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
