She is survived by : her children, Cristy Powell (Kenneth Jr.) of Raleigh and Leland Blackwell of Taylorsville; the father of her children Joe Allen Blackwell of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Rebecca Powell (J. T. Weathersby) of Johns and Winferd Powell of Raleigh; and her brother Patrick Anderson (Hope) of Arkansas. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
