We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2023, at the age of 81, Shirley Hester of Taylorsville, Mississippi, born in Bay Springs, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Steve Jernigan and Lucille Jernigan; her husband David Newton Hester; her sister Rachel Clark; her nephew Willy Hall, Jr.; and her nieces, Rhonda Hall and Kimberly Yates.

She is survived by : her children, Angie White (Tim) and David Hester, Jr.; her granddaughter Jill Burge (Jake); her great grandchildren, Nora Grace and Andi Kate Burge; and her siblings, Helen Simpson, Mattie Knight, Charlotte Mabry (Craig) and Bobby Jernigan.
