He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Goff McCarter; and his parents, Cecil McCarter and Doris Russell McCarter. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Alan McCarter, Steven Kirk McCarter, Laura Court Nixon (Geoff) and Heather McCarter. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
