He is survived by: his wife Ledell Blanchard Pannell of Verona; his children, Bernessia Johnson, Jimmy Owens, Rhonda Rogers, Stephanie Glenn (Terry), Frederick Kennedy, Latasha Blair (Theodus), Reginald Miller, Nekautor Blanchard, Torris Blanchard (Roslyn), Bryan Blanchard, Emmanuel, Karmen (Shaquille), Kaylyn and Jessie; his siblings, Johnny Pannell Jr. (Ruth), Jessie Pannell, Tommy Pannell, James Hokey, Susie Vaughn (James), Ruby Berry (Raymond), Linda Shelton (Sherman), Alfredia Douglas (Dennis) and Mildred Perry (John); his siblings-in-law, Willie Shelley, Ercell Pannell Shirley Bowens and Frances Rupert; his daughter-in-law Cindy Pannell Kennedy; and his close friend James Lane. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
