It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn H. Powell of Vancleave, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on June 6, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William Huey and Mary Margie Hutchinson; her son John "Neil" Powell; and her siblings, Roger Hutchinson, Huey Herschel Hutchinson and Evelyn Hutchinson.

She is survived by : her children, Steven E. Brooks (Linda) and Angela Brooks Roberts.
