He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Strother and Ella Johnson Strother; and his siblings, Russell Strother and Genieve Dunn. He is survived by: his children, Robert, Susan Ann and Mary Ann; his grandchildren, Sean, Heather and Haley; his spouses, Irina Tolmatchova and Diane Williams Strother; and his children, Gregory Hayes, Paula McElroy and Carrie Vaughn.

The family would prefer donations be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church or the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
