He was predeceased by : his parents, Larmia Ambrose, Sr. and Annie Bell Finnie Ambrose; and his siblings, Fannie White, Ollie Griffin, Estella Edwards, Primis Ambrose and Webster Ambrose.
He is survived by : his wife Inez of Verona; his children, Rev. Melvin Ambrose (Anita) of Verona, Deacon Elvin Ambrose (Jackie) of Myrtle and Velma Traylor (Johnny) of Oakridge, TN; his mother-in-law Ada Medcalf; his sisters, Annie Mae Ambrose of Verona and Lillie Morris of Verona; his godsons, Kenny Sims and Larry Fowlkes; and his nieces and nephews, Cedric White, Terry White, Titus White, Billy Griffin, Debbie Kay and Rose Stone. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law and 6 sisters-in-law.
