It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rex Dean Howell of Water Valley, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Howell and Peggy Howell; his uncle James Howell; his sister-in-law Shelley Howell; his nephew Brock Howell; and his pet Camo.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Brodey Howell; his children, Sarah Dianne Howell, Spencer Golightly Howell and Erin Charlotte Howell; his stepchildren, Sadie Rebecca Brodey, Alexis Rachel Brodey and Joshua Asher Brodey; his granddaughters, Willow and Norah; his siblings, Trent Howell, Paul Howell (Wanda), James Howell (Debbie) and Holly Turner (Tim); and his aunt Maralyn Bullion. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
One of his proudest accomplishments was being a member, and former president, of the Yalobusha County Economic Development Foundation which allowed him to create hundreds of jobs for his community.
