He is survived by: his sons, James Owens of Water Valley, MS and Bobby Owens of California; and his siblings, Gertrude Owens of Oxford, MS, Annie Bell Owens of Oxford, MS, Margaret Johnson of Oxford, MS and Russell Owens of Chicago. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; a very special friend, Miss Mae Nell Gray of Water Valley, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
