He is survived by : his wife Adelaide Doherty; his son David Doherty Jr.; his siblings, Ralph Doherty, Catherine Bishop and Barbara Holcomb (Billy); his brother-in-law James Doggett; his nephews, Ben Doherty and Neil Stevens; his son Alan Doherty (Donna) of Moss Point, MS; his grandchildren, Jordan Vaughn (Charles), Alan Jr. Doherty (Whitney), Kayla Jones (Jesse), Trey Doherty and Christian Doherty; his great grandchildren, Avery Jones, Lane Jones, Weston Jones and Boone Doherty; his daughter-in-law Jamye Doherty; and his siblings, Robert Doherty (Betty), Alice Doggett, Bruce Doherty (Faye) and Randy Doherty (Sherry). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
