He was predeceased by : his parents, Lathon McCool and Mable McCool; his wife Margie McCool; his daughter Kim McCool Gates; his stepchildren, Eddie Williamon and Glenda Singley; his siblings, Jewel McCool, Gene McCool, James McCool, Tommy McCool, Danny Mae Nicholais and Willie Mae Wood; his grandchildren, Jeremy McCool and Atalee Eidson; and his stepgrandson David Singley, Jr..
He is survived by : his children, Michael Lamar McCool of Waynesboro, MS, Mark Kadle McCool (Linda) of Waynesboro, MS and Paula McCool of Waynesboro, MS; and his brothers, Alton McCool (Sue) and R. L. McCool. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
