He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Mathis and Eleanor Mathis; and his wife Jo Ann Mathis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Fraysur, Christy Waddell, Wendy Daughtery and Alicia Mathis; his stepdaughter Jennifer Long; and his sisters, Jo Ann Todd and Mary Pilgrim. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
