He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rostad and Ruth Rostad (Hauge); his nephew Benjamin Andersen; and his brother-in-law John Vaia. He is survived by: his wife Fredrica "Rica" Garrison of Puyallup, WA; and his siblings, George Rostad (Terri) of Big Timber, Shirley Bowden (Joe) of Big Timber, Emily Graves (Jerry) of Big Timber, Dan Rostad of Big Timber and Diane Vaia of Grass Range. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews.

This past year he taught in Billings, MT because Washington state was doing online schooling due to Covid restrictions.
